A kindergarten is a community.
It’s a gathering space; for ideas, nurturing, inquiry, for play and learning. Malvern Memorial Kindergarten – our community kindergarten – holds a special place in the hearts of so many for all it gives our children.
True to the origins of the word, it is a ‘children’s garden’. A garden of care and respect.
The keystone to all of this are people. Teachers, parents, children. All gather under one roof, to help each other in ways big and small. It takes a village to raise a child. Our village raises many.
Join our community and you join an ongoing project. There are expectations. Most begin with volunteering. All parents – mums and dads – are encouraged to spend at least a day each term with the children or helping staff in other ways.

It is a day when our children get to teach us something.

Malvern Memorial Kindergarten (MMK) is a community kindergarten offering high quality early childhood education and care  to local families residing in the City of Stonnington.

We offer two kindergarten programs: one four year old program (three full days per week) and one three year old program (two full days per week from Terms two – four).

Both programs are led by experienced, dedicated, fully qualified Early Childhood Teachers, and are above ratio with appropriately qualified early childhood staff.

3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten applications are now open online.
